Not a surprise but also not exactly the most desirable place to be at the moment. Hopefully they can turn it around and Pierre can do more than play bumper cars at the back.

Reliable paycheck I guess, not the best team to sit with but at least it’s a drive that is better than Williams or haas most weeks

It's a works team for what its worth, and they have cleared the backmarkers after that horrid start to the season.

Being French driver in a French team must bring some nice sponsorship opportunities too.

I’m sure the French team and French driver part is a big boost yeah, sponsors and being a hometown hero type situation. We’ve been hoping Renault figures shit out for a decade now, doesn’t seem to be happening.
