Lemmy 0.19.5 was released a few days ago, other instances already upgraded to this version.

Do we have a date for the programming.dev instance to upgrade as well?

Honestly, it's very reasonable and even responsible to wait a bit (a week or two perhaps) before using a new version, especially given that 0.19.5 came swiftly after 0.19.4 due to some bugs. And of course anyone running a fediverse instance is a volunteer so it's probably not reasonable to put deadlines or pressure on themselves. But I won't speak for the admins on programming.dev and of course asking is perfectly fine, just don't expect an answer :)

@Ategon@programming.dev might give a more precise date, but unless there is an important security update, we prefer to wait 1-2 weeks to see how the update goes.

No precise date, it's basically just when we feel its been thoroughly tested to make sure its actually stable and I don't want to give a deadline that might get missed if we want to wait a tiny bit longer due to some reports

But yeah probably 1-2 weeks if theres no issues

0.19.4 ended up causing issues so we never updated to it while some other instances did and those require the 0.19.5 fixes more than we do currently
