/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Fun will now commence.

I suppose if there's anyone who could listen to O'Brien's PTSD ramblings and not go insane, it's counselor Gowron.

Glory to your, mental health!

[–] constantokra@lemmy.one 7 points 2 months ago

This comment made my day. Thank you.

It helps to be insane from the get-go

This is my new favorite gif. Thank you.

I collect rare Gowrons.

His hair plays Christmas music wherever he goes, all year. Glory to the Newborn King and this ipod mini I glued to my scalp!

Glory to you - and your hair! O.O

Today is a good day to dye

IMO the Captain should be Smiley. He was a Captain so it only makes sense.

Are you sure that you don't have need of a uh... good, simple tailor? I hear that he makes problems of many kinds simply disappear, as if by magic! ✨ :-P

Missed opportunity for Chief Cowen to be the head of security.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 23 points 3 months ago (1 children)

There's two very unimportant people in that image collage.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

They're important, just not giant golden statue important.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Pff. Like anyone remembered Julian 800 years later. That statue was still there when the Discovery went into the future.

I hereby demand more car talk with Martok

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 months ago

I second this demand!

If O'Brien can't put them into the buffer, then he won't trust the Doc.

[–] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 17 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Yeah, you don't want O'Brien as counselor. If someone needs therapy, his response is to send the patient through a time portal to die alone.

[–] mkwt@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago

They're gonna spend some time in the therapy pattern buffer.

[–] thouartfrugal@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

That's one busy substitute teacher!

[–] marlowe221@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

A ship full of O’Briens? Unstoppable!!!

(I love this - O’Brien is my favorite character in all of Trek.)

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I like that in the STO he is the chief engineer of the Enterprise F.

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm gonna claim Beta canon on that one. He should be Professor of Engineering at Starfleet Academy by that time. Not to mention what happened to the F.

[–] SpaceCowboy@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I don't know if O'Brien would want a teaching job. Feel like he'd prefer to continue getting his hands dirty with real engineering work.

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Outside of maintaining systems on campus, I imagine he'd be tapped to help maintain Earth and Luna's. DS9 level coordination scaled to his prowess. Behold his majesty:
