Had the first couples counseling the other day. It was interesting. Forced to be diplomatic for lack of a better word we were articulating points that sort of surprised each other I think. The therapist also had me figured out in no time at all "Shit childhood, yeah?" "yep" "Parents didnt love each other?" "Nup". Guess I'm not the first she's seen.

Good on you for giving it a go man. I think it takes a lot of courage for a couple to seek help to address their issues.

Yours truly got two dates (one maybe Saturday and the other Sunday) this weekend. Super excited for Sunday one as I like her but not too sure on Saturday 😊

We're planning a garden visit followed by drinks at a board games cafe on Sunday!! Should I get flowers? What do I wear?!! I'm nervous now πŸ˜ͺ

[–] Force_majeure123@aussie.zone 12 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (6 children)

I also have two dates this weekend. The 23nd and the 23rd πŸ™ƒ

Don't get them flowers

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Some unsolicited advice?

I’m nervous now πŸ˜ͺ

Why? She likes you( or else she wouldnt have said yes). You like her. There is nothing to be nervous about. Dress up a little, remember your manners, bring a couple of good (or terrible) jokes or funny stories and you're sorted.

Thank you! I needed to hear this 😊

I've decided to turn off the alarm for tomorrow morning. Still going to bed shortly, but after this morning's migraine, I'm going to sleep in a little.

Goodnight guys ❀️

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Goodnight homey. Have a good and restful night.

Got up at 6 am fully refreshed. Logged into work stupid early and finished all my stuff by about 9 am.

Still logged in but playing video games on my PC.

I think this is a good Friday

Have just heaved a packet of sausages, some curry paste, a shittonne of vegetables and the last leftover can of the cider into the slow cooker. Dinner will be ready at 8 ish. Dunno what you'd call it - bangers & hash stew maybe? Melbourne coddle? Kept back some parsley & lemon zest & garlic for stirring through at the last minute.

The crisper drawer is now empty. Note to self - buy more grog.

Made it down the bellarine today.

Almost time for the sunset solstice cold swim!

Also lemon tree just refuses to settle down, picked so many a few weeks ago and it's still going like mad poor thing is tilting:

Headache has subsided thankfully.

Annoyed that I went back to sleep this morning, but I'll be continuing with 6am on the weekends as well.

Time for some video games and guitar.

I was able to get a better sleep last night, but this bed situation is annoying me. I have a "double" bed, but it's one of those fake double beds where it's just 2 singles pushed together. Both bases are on wheels as well, and the wheels don't have locks on them, so I have to keep pushing them back together as they get separated

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I loathe those so much!!! The worst kind of bed because they're made with lies!

can you pin them together? Put one up against a wall and use a desk/bed side table to ensure they dont roll apart?

I think I've caught one of the viruses going around, I'm starting to get a sore throat. Covid test was negative at least, so I can still count myself a member of the small "never had Covid" group. But if I'm part of the "feels like swallowing razor blades" group that someone went home from work with yesterday that will be little comfort.

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 8 points 4 months ago (2 children)

If you THINK its covid chances are it probably is. If you cant even focus on video games it DEFFO is.

Just gonna have a couple of quiet ones tonight. I'm charging the mic just in case an impromptu song wants to burst out of me.

Gym session this evening and had some young dude call me 'sir'.

I was puzzled until my son informed me that the young bloke was probably scared of me.

Perhaps I should learn to smile more.

Wow, wild day... Drove past a servo and saw a ton of smoke. Called 000 and chucked a U turn and then the smoke was all gone. Decided to hop on the FRV radio, and apparently it was caused by a diesel generator for a pressure washer and was more or less just a puff of smoke

New mouse day. Logitech G502 Hero. Seems okay, hope it lasts longer than the Razer's I've been using the last few years. I'm heavy handed, I feel I'm heavy everything, I wear stuff out.

Temperatures outside have just risen to be slightly warmer than inside my fridge. I will definitely be rugging up for the morning dog walk.

[–] Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Managed to wake up, but feel really sick. Back to bed for an hour or so. Still a success

[–] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 6 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Yeah I now wake up every day between 5:30 and 6:30 pretty naturally. I reckon as long as you get up and do some basic wake up thing you can then go back to bed and not wreck the habit. I do that on weekends.

I love singing this song and changing the words to make it sound creepy.

Makes it even better with sound effects on the mic.

I'm enjoying hearing people complain about the cold around the office. It's presently 18.5Β° and sunny in Perth. Yes, it was a bit chilly this morning, but nothing like what Melbourne goes through.

I guess it always boils down to what people are accustomed to.
