I have heard before there might be a way to get audio tracks for movies. I already have a sizable collection (nothing worthy of datahoarding) and would like to add a foreign language for my parents (French). Subtitles are already taken care of with Bazaar, that's a big help. I use Plex and Jellyfin is my backup.

Often I can find multi-audiotracks files, original+french, but it greatly limits my choices if I am trying to do one library. I could also create a completely separate French library, but trying to avoid that.

What do you think? Is downloading audio tracks a viable option?

I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for…but if you have multiple video files and just want one with multiple audio streams, you can combine them into a single file using the free tool MKVToolNix. This assumes the videos are the same length to keep them in sync.

Not quite, but that is good option to keep in mind. Once I have a system going, should not be too bad if done gradually.

Really just wondering if there's a downloadable database of movie audiotracks.

Never stumbled upon audio tracks only. Just movies with multiple languages or foreign language tracks only. Grab those and remux as the other poster wrote.

What I did stumble upon are comedic audio commentary tracks which can be played alongside a movie. MST3000 and Rifftrax come to mind.

You can download the French movie and take the track with ffmpeg
