I'm very, very supportive of this bridge going ahead. Considering its delivery (plus the two already open/nearly open, plus two more that seem to have no immediate prospects) was one of the core promises of the LNP in 2020, it's very disappointing that we're still only talking about "yeah maybe at some point" on this one.

That said, I also agree with the comments on the article.

council needs to put more effort into the active transport network they form part of

Whether that's the link from the Indooroopilly Riverwalk, or completing the next stage of the NBB to connect through to the Kedron Brook Bikeway, or extending the CityLink Cycleway through to the Valley. This council loves its big flashy projects, but utterly fails at delivering the more basic network to actually allow active transport users to get too and from their destinations.
