This is my go to reference for the concept of domestication in my translation classes. The reference well and truely dates me though. Students are getting it less and less as the years go by

Oh no!

Regarding domestication, there was an anime I loved as a kid called Bobo-bo Bobobo and one scene they are eating Natto, but obviously western audiences aren't going to know what Natto is. So in the English dub they call it like "spiderwebs and beans".
