I think they'll try. But Trump supporters are loyal to one man...Trump.

The closest analogy would be Mussolini. (The fuckers even stand similarly and use the same mannerisms).

How long did Mussolini's cult last after he was dragged into the street and shot? How long did it take his last supporters to vanish like cowards as soon as he was longer up on the balcony in a building with his face on it thumping his chest.

Trump is no different.

I hope you're right, but during Mussolini's time the Axis was failing and I don't think taking the power of his followers was worth the target that would be painted on your back from every other world power. The MAGA cult stands to take control of the most powerful nation in the world with the undying support of its followers permitting any action including taking away their own freedom. I don't think that's something that will be left on the table once Trump is gone.
