Think this'll serve as a wake-up call to the republicans? That they'll maybe start to figure out that Trump is a pathological narcissist who will turn against absolutely anyone whenever he decides they're not giving him what he wants?

Yeah... me neither.

The republicans are backing a rabid dog, presuming that they'll be able to ensure that he only bites their designated enemies.

If nothing else, if all goes through as the republicans want, I expect that I'll be able to bask in a continual sea of schadenfreude when I meet them in the gulag.

I'm sure they understand by now, they just keep falling in line to avoid becoming his target.

They just keep falling in line because it's who they are.

Some of them, definitely. Probably not all. A few spoke out against Trump early in the 2016 election, but shut up when he became popular.
