Hey guys, wanted to recommend some dead mall YouTube creators whose videos I've enjoyed over the years. Leave a comment if you think of someone else worth checking out!
First up is Dan Bell. This guy can be credited for popularizing dead mall content and he's the reason a lot of people got into dead malls in the first place. He doesn't upload dead mall videos as often as he used to, but he's been doing it for a long time and he has a huge catalog of awesome videos with great commentary, filming, and editing. This video is one of my personal favorites and serves as an excellent introduction to the world of dead malls.
Next is Sal. Sal has been in the game for a while now and he's a very active member of the dead mall community, serving as both a moderator of the dead mall subreddit and creator of the dead mall discord! His videos dive deep into the history of these malls and he probably gives the most in depth commentary out of all the dead mall tubers. Here's an excellent video of his covering one of the most iconic dead malls of all time, Forest Fair Village,
Finally we have Ace's Adventures. Ace's videos are very well made and you can tell he has a real passion for dead malls and the community surrounding it. He uses awesome music in his videos and, like Sal, does a great job of diving into the history of these malls. Here's an excellent video of him wandering around the set for Stranger Things at Gwinnett Place mall.
An honorable mention would be Retail Archaeology. This channel covers retail stores in general but he also has some great dead mall videos. Definitely worth checking out.
And that's about it! Please be sure to comment any channels I missed :)
Fingers crossed we'll see a return of ADR as well. I love that series.
