Einstein defined common sense as the sum of prejudices acquired by the average person by age 18. He was making a point about how the ways neuronormative society expects people to think are highly culturally dependant. Einstein was of course the autistic person who proved our fundamental assumptions about spacetime wrong. Einstein was a great scientist precisely because he didn't have any common sense. Common sense doesn't reflect truth, it only reflects dominant social attitudes. Growing beyond those attitudes requires uncommon sense.

If Trump wins, dominant social attitudes will be fascist. Common sense will be fascist. But truth and science will remain leftist. They will be very political.
