So, I can't say that I fully understood the end of that chapter with somebody setting up the situation to come and rescue the Drancam kids. However, I assume they were also in contact with the information broker that was probably playing both sides to set up some kind of confrontation.
Sounds to me like they are trying to poach some new hunters and make the company look bad. I'd rather learn more about the old world but some corporate warfare might be fun too.
