We stopped at Maroona station, which closed back in the 80s which was pretty fun.

I never quite realise the sheer size of these things until I'm standing at the same level as one and I'm about the same size as a wheel. Just like planes

Love me a good N-class. Used to take these a lot between Gippsland and Melbourne growing up. Shame they're all V'Locity's now :(

They are good trains. I also saw one that had been debadged and was hauling a freighter, which looks.... Interesting.

Yeah that seems to be where they're all heading, without so much as a proper re-paint

Jelly. I like that trip on a train - did it a few times years ago.

Really? They were saying it's the first time a passenger train has run to Mildura since it was axed in '93.

I'm talking 80s here. I am an ancient monument.

Agreed ;)

Just joking, I'm actually super jealous. Mildura is my favourite place in Vic, and I would give a kidney to be able to regularly catch a train there

My late partner came from there - well, a farm outside of town. Until about a decade ago his parents still lived there, they've now passed on. When my partner and I took up with each other, I spent a bit of time going up there.
