/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ **8. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

I would love to see Lower Decks give us a glimpse into how Neelix lives "15 years later". Feels like he's gotta be high rolling and connected to (and owed favors from) everyone in every quadrant, by now.

That'd be a great idea. Get Neelix back without the nightmarish amounts of prosthetics they'd have to lay on Ethan Phillips again.

[–] ptz@dubvee.org 8 points 5 months ago

Yes, please. I'm sure Ethan Phillips would love to reprise the role ( or at least I hope he'd want to)

I want to see Neelix paired with Quark. I can't decide if they would hate each other, or create the greatest empire that ever was. They should at least be a rival to the Bashir/Garak duo.

[–] MajorHavoc@programming.dev 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Agreed. I would be delighted to learn they've been in a polite terf war between their holo-program and synthol distribution empires, or something.

With Rom parading as the Nagus (and Leeta as the power behind the throne), Neelix is the logical choice as his next business partner. May have to explore this idea.

[–] Flummoxed@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Yesss! Please explore. I'd love to see some memes about this relationship. Neelix has the delta quadrant on lock and the Ferengi want a piece of that pie. What would convince Neelix to join forces with them? Culinary equipment? Cheese?
