Lie to your customers, then once they’ve placed the order… POW!.. hit 'em with the old yeah nah but by now they’re committed so their money is yours bwahhaha

If that happened to me occasionally I'd deal with it. But if some place is consistently doing it, I'd say "sorry, cancel my whole order, including any items you do have in stock. I'll go elsewhere."
