Bit worrying to see a Victorian kid come back on a flight with bird flu, and that poultry outbreak. I was really hoping it would miss us.

Edit: Do you think it would have been included in this years flu shot?

Price of eggs gonna go sky high. As someone who can’t eat dairy or wheat, this is gonna suck.

No there's no vax for it yet :-/ I don't think they've seen human to human transmission yet tho.

Ahh... guess that would be too much to ask. Given that there was warning I just hoped they'd already be working on it, or a vaguely similar strain would have been included

Edit: But I mean if the possibility of transmission between people even exists then why wait? We saw the cost and disruption of lockdowns and the strollout. I really want the government to be more proactive this time if we're at risk of another pandemic.
