Somewhat contrarian take, but despite the click-baity title it does have some good points.

"Too much focus on solutions can separate us from the gravity" what the fuck. All the focus on doom has people saying it's too late to try. Focusing on the solutions is the only thing getting shit done at all

Unrealistic or outright dangerous "solutions" like carbon capture or geo-engineering are probably meant by that.

Yeah but those are not solutions but small plasters that you can do AND continue to go on like before.

Well now we are at a point where we have to stop 100% AND need carbon capture for the remaining 5GT or so CO2eq that we still emit

The main carbon capture I want is reforestation

It is too slow, takes too much space and may burn down. But for sure, removing damn streets and planting trees is a solution, but it is too slow
