It is more efficient to buy cheap supermarket sponges and replace them more often, or do you find that more expensive options are worth the additional cost?

I used to use the green and yellow scotch-Brite but I've been sucked into the scrub daddy paradigm. They really are good scrub/sponges and last forever.

+1 for scrub daddy. Best thing is you can put it in dishwasher when it gets dirty.

+2 for scrub daddy and putting them in the dishwasher. I’ve been using the same one for 6 months and still going strong.

Absolutely yes on the scrub daddy. I didn’t even know there was a paradigm but I found some on sale somewhere so I got them and I couldn’t believe how well they hold up and how much suds they produce. I especially love how the scrubby part is harder with cold water and softer with hot water

So many people seem to like scrub daddy but they're only available online where I live. They claim that these don't scratch but could I also clean for example the clear plastic water container from our coffee maker without scratching it?
