This seems to only be a substitute for low-current single phase chargers.

Here in the EU, cars charge between 11kW and 22kW off of 3 phase. This isn't accomplished with an simple smart charger.

Also this is completely negating fault detection, safety relays, charge current negotiation, etc...

That seems great for things like apartment chargers, or other rentals that don't need fast charging, but are hard or expensive to install home style chargers
