Last year I planted a spare eggplant seedling in a patch of ground that doesn't really get enough sun. Today it thanked me with two eggplants ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ† (real vegetable eggplants for all you gutter-minded people).

I grew some last year, there weren't many fruit but the few there were really delicious
