I taught the boys to wave at busses and they do it without fail now. I think it's time to take them for a ride on a bus

Don’t forget the trains! Some drivers will toot if kids wave, to add extra excitement

Once the driver let my kid actually toot the horn. He was our neighbor and knew us. That was 2016 and it's a core childhood memory. The kid is still obsessed with trains.

We've done the train into the city a few times but I don't think they make the same association with the train as with the bus.

Tooting Tue horn of a train is one of those formative experiences that would make you public transport pilled for life
