It's so quiet here at home, it seems i can go days with barely talking except to the cats

and that habit then extends to everything, I get quiet with loved ones and friends, don't message, don't chat.

not sure if that's a good or bad thing

I hear you. I'm so bad at initiating contact with friends. I worked on phones for too many years, to the point that I just don't call anyone for a chat - ever. I also need to suppress my natural instinct to find out why someone is calling me, deal with whatever that is and get off the phone again like a good phone worker would.

I'm up for stuff, it just never occurs to me to arrange it.

Might be a necessary thing while in recovery from, well, everything. The time to get social is AFTER you feel better, and better able to deal with the random shit associated with other people. Who mean well, but might not be sensitive.
