I live in a relatively new house, kept very clean (we pay someone, as well as dealing with my own somewhat annoying compulsive cleaning tendencies). We have two major builds in our street at the moment, and fuck me, the mice are on the march. so yes, I saw a mouse yesterday. I have a new dog, supposedly of a ratting breed, and he is so far adorably useless.

In one share house we had mice that would wander around the lounge room while we were watching tv.

Not quite, I've seen a dead mouse while looking up from my morning coffee however.

I had one pop up from the stove while I was having breakfast
