I almost never watch "shorts" but my suggestions for it seem to have an...uhhh...adult theme. I don't watch any such thing with YouTube. Does everyone see garbage like this?

I ended up installing an extension that blocked all shorts, most of them are trash waste of time anyways.
Dunno what you are subbing to or your interests but mine are almost always sciency (chemistry/physics), engineering, tech, gaming, IT or comedy related.
Most of mine were short cropped clips of videos I've already seen, so it was a big waste of time having them up.
Yeah, I have seen some channels reuploading a shorter version of their videos as teasers or a vertical version.
Those absolutely can be skipped without missing anything.
