Yet when the inevitably run up the back end of someone, they always claim "omg don't you know how long it takes for a truck to stop??" as if somehow the vehicle in front of them is responsible for... them following too close?

I see truck drivers manoeuvring in tiny spaces with a heap of skill and it's something I can't do, but I also see truck drivers tailgating hatchbacks on the highway at 110kph (and throwing up justifications like "If I dont follow close someone else will just pull in" which is stupid for car drivers but doubly so for heavy vehicles). On balance I cant wait for self-driving everything.

I've been in one of those hatchbacks being tailgated by a truck. I was doing the speed limit but they had the nerve to flash their lights at me. Slowed down for a little before changing lanes
