Literally the dialogue I had with a friend:

Handbags are ugly and unhealthy, they were pushed onto women by men, and are generally terrible. We should get rid of them
But where am I supposed to put all my stuff then?
Pockets
But I don't like the bulges they create
Yeah, right, but you do look beautiful with that suitcase on your shoulder and the crooked spine will fit your style well
No, you don't understand, I mean, even empty pockets make clothes appear baggy and inelegant just from the extra fabrics and seams needed for them
Suuure... Well, you do you, I guess...

Felt like pushing against the wall. Either Im fundamentally misunderstanding something abot female fashion, or some of them are too indoctrinated by it to even consider any alternatives.
