I am not sure if this is the right place to post. I have a step grand daughter who is 9, her English is coming on leaps and bounds and she is doing very well at school(in all subjects). I would like to take her some English reading books when I visit next month and I have no idea of what age range I should be looking at for her. I assume at age range younger than she is as English is a second language but also I don’t want to insult her. Any ideas?

The bible (KJV) is quite popular, and if she manages to learn how to read it she would be more proficient in 17th century English than at least the majority of her classmates.
