Males of this thread, if you have a father in your life does he give you physical contact at all (i.e. hugs etc) and did it change or not change as you got older?
When I did it was only violence which stopped as I got older and fought back.

same ๐ and I'm not a male
I still have hugs with my dad though he wasnโt around for half my childhood.
Only when we either greet each other or say goodbye does it happen.
I do and he doesn't. We're not a very outwardly affectionate type of family and he's one one of those country town raised boomer types who doesn't go in for that stuff.
I hug my dad on greeting and parting. It continued that way until adolescence, paused, and resumed at maybe 25 y.o
