maybe add
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
to launch option to enable log? Try launching the game again, and see if anything weird logged onsteam-xxxxx.log
file in your home directory.Also, might want to try using proton-ge in case it works: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom
There is nothing in Borderlands 2 that requires proton-ge. Using default native should absolutely work, and so should proton for the Windows version. His system is fucked up somehow.
