Liberal Party in Canada is center, leans slightly left or right depending on the political climate. Politics courses teach about the difference between small l and capital L Liberal here.
It sort of depends on the country though, compared to the US the conservatives in Canada aren't that far right as Republicans,though PP is making that statement a bit outdated. Liberals in Canada are usually to the left of Democratic party in the US, though not as much as I'd like. I'm not sure where we land compared to Europe but probably liberals are center right overall, with a margin of error putting them in the middle, depending which policies you are looking at.
They are left enough to completely tank the economy every time though
