Yeah, cops pull favors for friends and family all the time. This doesn't read as comically absurd.

How it's written combined with the title and it being posted to Twitter doesn't seem like your run-of-the-mill favour stuff but rather makes me think it's made for a joke.

Unfortunately I know people who 100% would have done that in our younger years. Proportionality is just a fancy word to them.
