Hej everyone! I am not fully sure if its allowed, did check the rules so please remove if not!
I was wondering how it is living and finding jobs as an expat in Sweden. My fiancé is Swedish and we decided that we are going to move soon to Sweden to spend more time together with our coming baby!
I asked him about it but he of course does not know everything. I am just a-bit worried specially since my job is in e-commerce and when checking jobs I haven’t really found companies or jobs working with marketplaces.
I am learning the language and understand some Swedish and definitely will be learning more. But other than that, what are things I need to think about or any advice?

jr4wvz6Everything is difficult until you learn how to do it; then it's easy. So, do not speak english with people more than absolute necessary if you're planning to stay here for long. You will be doing yourself a huge disfavor and people will never let you learn swedish even if you live here very long, but will speak swedish with each other and keep you out (not out of illwill though). You must speak swedish as much as you can and don't let them tell you they know english. They will feel proud when they say it but tell them: "Jag vill försöka på engelska. Ha lite tålamod med mig.". You will be surprised how much they will help you in learning swedish then, I promise you! 🙂 Till slut blir även svenska lätt!

jr565bxThats great advice thank you! I haven’t had anyone in Sweden say however they know English, quite the opposite that they don’t haha

jr5fs62I think its more the confidence in speaking English with the most people I encountered, who say they can’t. Because there also are the people who are very confident and don’t speak it at all haha
