I've heard a lot of crazy things about Sweden in terms of metal music, I don't really believe in it much as a lot seems over the top and not that believable, I can just assume it's popular and that's it. Now, is rock really popular? and I mean not only classic rock but also modern rock that covers sub-genres like alternative metal/alt rock etc.

When I mean rock, I mean classic and modern. But when many people think of rock, they only think of classic rock, and that's why I mentioned today's rock, which is different from classic rock. That's the summary of the question I asked.

Ahh I see, so your subjective take on what todays rock music is, that's what your asking here? There are soooo many ways to better ask that question.

It's not just mine, and it's just the reason why I'm asking the question this way, like I said the question is, is it popular or not?
