Because none of us under the age of 50 suffer the delusion that we might be able to retire some day.
Retirement is for boomers, and the wealthy. The rest of us pick up the slack, all while while we're labeled lazy and ungrateful by those that came before us.
Edit: haha oh, this is Australia. Sorry, American here. I just assumed it was us because it was depressing. I wonder if my take on this transcends the country borders, though? Do you all have the same sort of situation there?

I assumed it was the US too, lol. Retirement is probably gonna be made illegal soon here. /s?
