Not only that... A significant portion of cars in china are already electrical, at least in very large cities.

Not just cars, but China also public transit, this article (in Mandarin) mentions that 77% of buses across China are operated using new energy sources like electricity and hydrogen https://archive.ph/k7dQM

Which is something I also observed. And even some trucks are electrical.
