Reddit hated emojis, how does Kbin feel? (kbin.social)

Seemed like emojis in posts / comments would get downvoted to oblivion on Reddit. I don’t see the same thing on Kbin (or other instances / services).

I actually think they're a lot less annoying than some of the other attempted expressive shortcuts common to Reddit.

🤦‍♂️ > *facepalm*

And so on. They're obnoxious if they're used like punctuation or in place of entire words and sentences, but to indicate tone I think they're great! 👍

I'm so used to non-emoji text that they feel like extreme over-emoting
