I've decided to make a new rule: no posting negative news articles without a call to action or way to help. Many online queer communities (and ESPECIALLY trans, considering what's been happening globally) are full of these articles. I get staying informed, and it's important to an extent, but it also tanks our mental health to be constantly bombarded by them without any way to make things better.

There's a place for those articles, but it's not gonna be here.

Is this fair?

Totally the wrong way of going about it though. All the words are I this and I that, with a fair at the end. A better way to lead a community is to lay down your case as to why we may consider this rule and ask for opinions before a decision is made. This says they have decided and are only now seeking feedback.

Hmm, you're not wrong, maybe I didn't consider it as big a deal because I agreed with the premise. But yeah, it could have been put better.
