Are they running out of tanks?
According to some calculations (but it's obviously crazy complicated) a) they should already have ran out b) they are about to run out c) they have 12.000 tanks still from the URSS (seems like propaganda or ill informed people).
In October Russia had 3500 or so good conditioned tanks in storage. Then obviously the tanks in active service, which should be a similar number. So very roughly 7000 tanks total and they lost 6000. Obviously the also make new ones, but only 200 or so per year. So they are slowly running out of tanks. However the real limitation seems to be that they are unable to repair good conditioned modern tanks in high numbers, so they might run out sooner.
So numbers are going down, but they are not out of tanks and it probably will take a year for them to really start to feel the losses.
Allegedly they have amassed 500 tanks at Kupyansk, so while they are probably getting a bit short of tanks, they've also chosen to deploy them elsewhere than Avdiivka that is currently their main offensive. Kupyansk is 250 km away from Avdiivka by the shortest road according to Google maps.
If amassing those 500 tanks means shortages elsewhere, I'd say they are probably running short by now.
Yeah I read about that, are they going to feed them by the handfull down a new death road though?
Maybe the Saab-Boeing bombs will come in handy too or something alike like the french hammers (IDK if they are ready to be launched), amassong that many tanks and vehicles is probably not some stroke of genious...
Maybe they don't work, so the best they can do is make Ukraine waste ammo on them? /s
IDK, it could be a bullshit attempt to try to exhaust Ukraine, hopefully they exhaust themselves more.
