Most of the 'bad guy' deaths hit pretty hard in that show. Yeah they were all criminals, but still brutal.
For real. I can't pretend to know what any of that life is like, but it's unceremonious to say the least.
Dude that plays Bubbles (2nd best character after Omar) has a story where he was in the middle of shooting and was in character, a proper junkie came up to him and handed him some vials and said 'you need this more than I do'.
The show is, apparently, very very realistic and portrays those snippets of street life very accurately.
It helps where a good chunk of the cast are ex criminals and cops.
No kidding?
He might be in S4, but the dude that plays the Deacon (helps Cutty) was actually the inspiration for Omar.
A few of the cops are actual ex cops. Some of Avon's and Barksdale crews are ex gangsters.
Few local actors from Baltimore with colourful pasts as well.
Cutty better not die though. I lose myself in his eyes.
No spoilers, but rest easy.
He better be heavyweight champion of the world by the end of the show.
He ends up running a huge space station actually. That might be The Expanse though
