Hej :) I have cycled through Scandinavia and fell in love with scandinavia, I am planing on moving to Scandinavia but I can not decide on which country. Actually i was Planung to move to Sweden and also speak A2 level Swedish but the government is more on the right wing side.
I am F. early 20 asian looking human rights activist deeply believe in a cosmopolitan system, democracy, care a lot about the lgbtq+ community and dislike „Asian“ style parenting and that family hierarchy stuff.
I am afraid of racism and disacceptance for me as a human being.
As German, people here can be quite racist, Germans never saw me as German, often ask me where I „really“ from, kids on the street do Asian eye gesture… even my friends often ask me about Asian country and culture related stuff. I have just as much knowledge as most of the Germans do. Why is that different?
So which of these two countries might suit me better? Or maybe none of them?
I offer: skiing skills, alpine climb experience, love for licorice, dried fish and BUTTER. Out going, activism for human rights, love big dogs, MBA in mathematics, ironman distance Triathlet, lifeguard license, bad dad jokes! a living 4 year old sourdough starter! I can make 11 different German breads. Please take me Scandinavia 😅

The more north and the more rural you go the less immigrant friendly it gets because in the south there’s been immigrants for a longer time (for better and for worse).
I’d say Sweden and Norway are both amazing countries to move to, and no one will bat an eye at you being Asian, lgbtq, a spider, missing limbs or telling bad dad jokes in either country anyway.

I don't think most Swedes have a problem with Asians in general, but you may want to be careful not to give the impression that you're Chinese or in any way associated with China if you want to avoid negative treatment. If you're German with Asian appearance, you should probably be fine though.

I am banned in China, can’t enter the country for protesting pro Hongkong and free Uyghurs… so ya I guess we can bash about china all together…

I'm not personally interested in bashing China, but a lot of Swedes are so may enjoy that together.

I think there is plenty of stuff people can talk about personally I like to talk about fun ne more positive stuff, rather than complaining all day long. People will go to the more extrem sides, once the society starts to polarized is hard to recover. Unless Tour de France goes though Sweden and they are giving away croissants for free.

I think so too. Both countries are amazing and offer dried fish and liquorice so it’s very hard to decide. :D

Rural: yes.
North: this is a huge surprise to me...? Generally, people further north are way more tolerable than southerners on most social issues. Mainly because, well, they're further left.
Rural Skåne is way WAY less immigrant friendly than other parts of the country.
