They need to stop subsiding everything, any extra money they give us for childcare will go straight into the pockets of those that run the centerers as the increased demand drives up prices. If the government started their own childcare centers that would increase supply at the low end of the market and help set the standard. If people want to pay more for a 'nicer' center that's up to them.
I would like to see more government owned services too. I’d like to think they are held to much higher accountability than the private sector.
Game of mates is an interesting read. The idea that government owned =bad is a lie we were sold a long time ago!
