How are sliding windows better? Also, are you able to clean the outside of the window from the inside?

With mine you can, both the top and bottom parts can be released to tilt inward for cleaning

Share that man... O need that for my place.... I have sliding ones, although not sure if you are thinking of the American ones that slide vertically or the horizontal sliding ones.

This is the style windows I have, vertically sliding with releases on the top of the bottom slider to tilt it in, and the top sliding pane can do the same. I can't speak to any particular model or manufacturer, just know the house I'm in came with them and they are convenient.
