Holy fuck, ad block is required

With adblock in Firefox I can read the whole article without the stupid "read more" gate and the obscenely bad ads.

And then I have my ad blocker on mobile and it splashes a banner preventing me from interacting with the site.

What a garbage site.

Edit: Switching to desktop view brings up the "I promise to let the corporation fuck me next time" button.

serious question, what even is the point of making the user click "read more" to view the (presumably fully-loaded) page?

It (theoretically) lets them have an idea how many people actually read the article, as opposed to just opening the page

Gives better analytics of how far people read they probably combine it with a N free articles mechanic.
