We are have two night left during our sweden holiday, so we want to see a bit of the innerland of sweden. We are gonna take the train from gothenburg to stockholm, and want to get out at some point.

Does anybody have some advice for this where that might be nice, maybe a place where you can go on a 1/2 day canoe trip?

The mainline crosses the Göta Kanal in the town of Töreboda. I'm not sure if it's good for canoeing but it's worth looking at.

All regional and a few high speed services stop at the station in Töreboda.
