@siobhansarelle @energisch_ @cooopsspace @ajsadauskas @green I have distant memories of milk being delivered each night and the empty bottles being taken away to be washed and reused, (the ultimate recycling).
@skyfire101 we have a deposit system in Germany for all beverage bottles - others aren't allowed any longer -but there are still too many that are not cleaned and reused but are PET bottles that need a lot of energy to be recycled into new bottles or other plastic things. @energisch_ @cooopsspace @ajsadauskas @green there is a deposit scheme for soft drink bottles in South Australia and where I am, but you don't get very much per bottle!
