I'we lived in Sweden for 50+ years and been in the woods a lot. I have never even seen a bear in the wild.
I would say you are safe :-)

I've seen 3, all of them turned around and BOLTED at lightning speed as soon as they saw me/smelled me. First time I was 10 years old. Eurasian brown bears aren't exactly the most hostile creatures. The wild pigs or whatever they are called in english is far worse, and still aren't likely to attack you (but far more likely to be drawn in by any food you have) luckily they will be less and less of a problem the further north you get.

Oh I have lived from Jokkmokk in the north to Karlskrona in the south.
