Hello Dear swedish redditors, I'm from Slovakia and I have a friend working in Sweden.

I heard about your infamous dish which is Surströmming, I was looking around and it is quite expensive to get it online (50-70€ for a can), and I'm wondering if it would be possible for my friend to get one piece cheaper locally and bring it to Slovakia. He is located in Stockholm.

I have no idea if it is for sale in any local chain or it needs to be ordered online. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

They usually appear in stores around August.

Exactly, they are fermenting as we speak and will be canned and shipped to stores later this summer. By the way, tell your friend to also buy tunnbröd and mandelpotatis because you will want to eat them the right way.
