I am looking to get some more comfortable clothes for traveling and purchased a Merino wool T-shirt and boxer briefs (I've used Merino wool socks for a while already). Merino wool clothing is super expensive and I don't want to spend upwards of $80 on a shirt. Do you have any recommendations for a frugal alternative?

I sometimes run into some nice wool clothing in thrift stores located in upscale areas. You have to hunt for it, of course, but it sometimes pops up. It's generally priced the same as the other clothing--which is very good for wool.

Unfortunately we don't have any good thrift stores near me. It's goodwill only around here, which sucks.

That definitely sucks. Still might be worth a try to see if something wooly snuck in. Esp. in summer.

Generally speaking, I get my best deals on warm clothes in summer. Even on Amazon, I once got a 0 degree down sleeping bag for hundreds off...in July.

I'm trying to find some merino wool, they're really cool, almost like a tech blend, but don't stink and are great for traveling since you can rinse and wash multiple times.
