I mean. It's the only answer. You cant see the dominos start to fall like they have this year and decide "let's pump more oil and maybe some Conservatives will vote for me over trump". It's too late and it was too late 10 years ago. This isn't just a US problem. This is global societal breakdown in the next 10 - 20 years.
Economic collapse is not an answer to anything. Let alone "the only answer".
All it does is highlight how big of a threat environmentalists are to society

the amount of hunger and homelessness going on configures a collapse, just not for the rich who defines whether or not things are going well.
Poverty is at the lowest level now then it ever has been under human history. You have capitalism to thank for that. The economy is doing just fine, it's not going anywhere. We're just in a dip as we recover from the economic attacks we were subjected to by public health
thats simply delusional. take a good look at literally anywhere outside your 1st world bubble. capitalism sponsored the biggest transfer of wealth from poor countries to rich ones and a handful of genocides. good things happen despite it, not because of it.
hell if a natural health emergency can put it to this knees that easily maybe we should rethink how we are running the worlds econony. things changed in the past and will continue to do so.
it easy to say poverty has declined when your definition of poverty still has motherfuckers struggling, and your definition of a healthy economy is unprecedented inequality.

Poverty has objectively declined. We must work to preserve capitalism against the attacks waged on it by those who want to bring us back to the ages of widespread poverty
