I just hope that Lemmy.world performance improves over time as sometimes the performance is a bit jarring and something I'd find hard to recommend to less tech-minded friends swapping from Reddit
switched to lemm.ee because of the performance, but im sure .world will be back to normal soon
Everybody is new to running Lemmy at scale. I suspect things will smooth out soon.
There’s no advantage to being on the biggest instance. Its a common mistake for new users to go to the biggest instance. It’s best to go to one that’s fast, not swamped, dependable, and federated with most instances.
